Description:
Only a couple of days into a winter trip intending to photograph the fabulous ice at Abraham Lake, a snow storm blew in and covered the frozen lake in a layer of snow, obscuring the icy details. When working in the field, it's sometimes necessary to make alternate plans and learn to roll with the punches. Here, the rugged terrain, stormy skies and fresh snow make a stark scene belied by a temperature that was unusually warm for this time of year.
